On Tuesday afternoon at 2.30pm we joined ‘The Cosmic Classroom’ with tens of thousands of other children to watch a live link with British ESA astronaut Tim Peake who is at the International Space Station.
It was brilliant to see him live and we learnt a lot about space. It was amazing when he played ping-pong with a bubble of water. It was also really funny when he touched his toes, we couldn’t stop laughing!
When we grow up some of us want to be astronauts just like Tim.
Over and Out!
Year 2
I watched the broadcast too and on Wednesday we all did a word-search about all the things Tim Peak did before he took off and things he probably saw whilst preparing and traveling to space.
We all loved the Cosmic Classroom
Who knows the lyrics to this “space” song?
You may have to ask your parents!
“Ground Control to Major Tom
Ground Control to Major Tom
Take your protein pills and put your helmet on
Ground Control to Major Tom
Commencing countdown, engines on
Check ignition and may God’s love be with you
Ten, Nine, Eight, Seven, Six, Five, Four, Three, Two, One, Liftoff”
A sticker and certificate to the first person to leave the correct response (parents included!)
