This half term we have been creating a dance for the Bangles song ‘Walk Like an Egyptian’ with Ms Heslop in our PE lessons, and we performed it to the school.
This morning was our annual Christingle Assembly, and we were joined by Reverend Rachel Hope from Trinity Church in Royton. It was a pleasure to share the assembly with our year 6 parents, who were served drinks and mince pies after the assembly by their children.
Mrs Grayson and year 6 shared some stories and poems about homelessness and the work of the charity Shelter. School raised £139.56 through the loose change donations. Many thanks to our families and staff for supporting this worthy cause.
As part of our Science topic on sound, the children have been creating their own musical instruments using junk modelling materials. They have been working in groups to create a well-known Christmas Song. Hope you enjoy our alternative Christmas Concert.
We had a great time at our Christmas party yesterday. We played lots of games like musical chairs, pass the parcel, musical statues and corners. We also had some party food too. What a wonderful time we had at the party!
From Year 2
You need:
Some green paint, grey paint, foam, spitfire logo.
First I got some foam and my Mum carved the foam into a spitfire so it could be painted. After I painted it all green and waited for it to dry; you also need to get some grey paint and paint lots of different patterns. Next you need to print off some spitfire logos, stick them on the middle of the wing and just a bit behind on the body of the plane.
