During one of our History lessons, we focused on the work of Emmeline Parkhurst and the Suffragettes. We created our own Suffragette posters during this lesson and marched around the school field, imagining how the Suffragettes would have felt over 100 years ago as they took part in demonstrations. Some also gave their own speeches, hoping to encourage others to join them in the march.

English Experience Day
We started off our English lesson today acting out the traditional tale of ‘The Three Little Pigs’. We then hot seated the wolf and the pigs to find out more about them. After that, Mrs Pollitt read us ‘The True Story of the Three Little Pigs’ and surprisingly the wolf was not a bad character. We hot seated the wolf and the pigs again to find out more about them. We are going to be writing a newspaper report all about it. We then spend the rest of the lesson reading a variety of newspapers. We all had a great lesson.
Structures
In D.T, we have been exploring the different types of structures in Italy including the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Colosseum.
Reward Afternoon
For the end of the term, Year 3 chose to watch Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. They even had two special guests!
Design Technology – Torches
We really enjoyed making our torches in Design Technology.
