In Early Years, we cover many exciting topics to enhance children’s knowledge and understanding of the seven areas of learning and development as detailed in the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (September 2021). British Values also underpin our curriculum.

Our key topic areas for Autumn term are:

Autumn Term 1 – Marvellous Me.

Autumn Term 2 – Once Upon A Time.

Spring Term 1 – How we travel.

Spring Term 2 – In the Garden.

Summer Term 1 – Dinosaurs.

Summer Term 2 – Superheroes.

 PE

We will have our PE lessons on a Friday. Children should come to school in their outdoor PE kit on that day.

Reading

Your child will be given a reading book together with a reading record. Please try to read with your child at least three times a week and record when you have done so in the record book. Suggestions of suitable comments will be enclosed in your child’s reading pack. Please ensure that this pack is brought back into school every day in their school bag, even if you have not had a chance to read together at home.

If you would like any more information about our class, please do not hesitate to contact us via the school office.
